However, to help us cover our processing costs for the convenience of using online payments, it is necessary to include those costs in our online membership fees. Amounts remain the same as before for checks/cash.
Separate donations can also be transacted online!
Donations/Memorials.
Memberships/renewals help support our organization and our volunteer maintained gardens! Thanks to those who have renewed and have done so continuously and generously.
December Class
Please review the attached flyer for our class at the CASEE Center on Saturday December 20th at 10:00am ~ entitled
The Power of Planting Natives ~ conducted by Jennifer Barger, Owner of Nature’s Haven(
www.natureshaven.earth).
Planting native connects communities, protects local ecosystems, and celebrates the land. Learn how to choose keystone species, restore habitat in your own yard, and create a vibrant, low-maintenance landscape.
Please let me know via email if you would like to attend this class to ensure proper chair set up and materials–members are always welcome.
November Cass–Recap
Thanks to all who attended our annual Native Mason Bees event and helped us clean all of our tubes from the gardens!!
Nothing like actually having the hands-on experience to see what is inside some of the tubes and liners. This reinforced the information presented from the comprehensive videos– folks had an opportunity to ask lots of questions too!
Bulleetin Board
“Greetings” (our latest bulletin board) to you’all!! See it for yourself displayed on the shed in the center of the gardens–thanks yet again, Rosemarie.
Did you notice?
In the July 2025 newsletter we noted that the Vanridge Garden Club donated all of their residual funds to NatureScaping after disbanding. To remember their generosity we installed a commemorative stone in the Water Wise Garden. In the spring marigolds will be planted to surround the stone–it was the club flower. In Mexico the marigold is used to help us understand that loss is part of life and sharing tea made from the flower can be a small way to feel supported and connected to your loved ones. We again thank the club for their donation and hope that former members can come to look upon the stone and connect with fond memories.
Around the gardens as the falling leaves reveal more of our little hidden gems, here are two that may have been missed as the flowers took center stage earlier in the year. See if you can find them when next in the gardens (hint: they are both in the same garden).
Support through Shopping
Tis’ the holiday season and whether you shop online or in person, a painless way to help support us year round is through your shopping at Fred Meyer–it would be much appreciated!
Here’s how:
You must already have a Fred Meyer Rewards Card. You can sign in and go to the Community Rewards section and enter our name or number CC402. You can choose NatureScaping as your charity and every time you use your rewards card it will benefit us. Go to the link for more instructions.
Also…..
Do you have someone in your life that would enjoy a gift membership to NatureScaping? How fun would it be to share classes and other events with friends/family! On our website you will find a form to print and send in to our PO Box OR transact a gift membership online.
If you’d like to make an end of year donation, fabulous!!
Sharing……
Always striving to best share information, our standard flyers in display boxes at the gardens are now on our website.
With funding from a Washington Native Plant Society (WNPS) grant and with many volunteer hours from committee members (you know who you are) a longtime dream has been fulfilled.
We have created a free 52-page booklet as an educational tool that includes dozens of high-quality photos, descriptions and other information regarding native plants found at The Wildlife Botanical Gardens and reasons to incorporate them in your landscape. Here is the link to finding it on our website:
Comments:
**From Laurie–5 star review & comments: “Such a beautiful place with 3 acres to stroll through. 10 different garden designs for inspiration-or just sit and take in the ambiance. Free to visit 24/7. What an amazing organization!”
Nature Related Quote of the Month
From Robert Frost: “My sorrow, when she’s here with me, thinks these dark days of autumn rain are beautiful as days can be; she loves the bare, the withered tree; she walks the sodden pasture lane.”
For all of the various ways you’all have supported us throughout the year–Thank You!!
Get out there and enjoy!
